Just after take off. View of the many islands located just outside my home-island Halsnoy. Close-up view of Stokken "International" Airport. It takes 30 minutes by boat and 15 minutes by car to get from my island to this airport. This was the only plane at the airport this afternoon. No security checks. Borgonnuten Island. My island (Halsnoy) can be seen in the lower left corner of the picture. This is Halsnoy island. The narrowest point on the island (lots of white snow) is only two football fields wide. We are leaving the island communities at the coast, and are now crossing a few fjords before reaching the mountains of middle Norway.
